As a lead guide for San Juan Mountain Guides, I run my Colorado Ice programs in conjunction with SJMG.

San Juan Mountain Guides are the premier provider of rock, ice & ski guiding in the San Juans including the Ouray Ice Park.

2 Day Basic Ice Course

The 2 day basic ice course is a great way to experiance ice climbing. In this course you will learn the fundamentals of ice climbing. These fundamental techniques include proper belay methods, basic anchors, body position and movement, Proper ankle flex and kicking and efficient tool swings and placements.

2 Day Intermediate Ice Course

The 2 day intermediate course builds on the foundation of the basic ice course while moving you to be a stronger and more self reliant climber. In this course we will focus on more advanced techniques and dynamic body movement to help you prepare for more sustained and harder climbing.
